Tape Drive Code 41 Error

A Seagate DAT Tape Drive which has previously been functioning correctly has
now ceased functioning.

Device Manager reports 'Windows successfully loaded the device driver for
this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)'

The SCSI BIOS and Device Manager both recognise the device.

The driver version is 5.1.2600.2180.

Deleting the device in Device Manager and rescanning does not correct the
problem.

Does anybody have any suggestions how to resolve this issue?

TIA

Run this script and reboot

Thanks Mike and Peter for your responses.

Unfortunately the suggested fixes for CD Drives do not resolve the issue
with the tape drive.

Do you have any further suggestions ?
