When I open the pc, it takes a long time to get in Win XP..... it takes about 20-30 seconds, then it pops up "Window loading" screen. Can anyone tell me why?

You can go to start then run and type in msconfig then go
to boot.ini and change the timeout to five seconds
instead of the 30 seconds and the welcome window will
only stay up for 5 seconds. Also you can go to startup
and uncheck items there that you do not need at start up.
Programs like office, qicktime, messenger and others will
set the startup to load them each time you start your
computer. You can go here and search each of the things
listed at startup to see what they do.

I for one have only the programs I need for antivirus and
firewall plus vedio drivers checked. Anything else I can
start on my own when I need it.
