Take a long time to get in Win XP

I just buy a new computer with P4 -2.8 , 256 MB, I don't know why it takes a long time to get in Win XP
It shows a blank screen about 20-30 seconds every time I start my pc, after 20-30 seconds, it can get in "Window XP Loading" screen. Can anyone tell me how to fix it? Thanks!

update your graphic card driver.Try the same in safe mode and check what
happens.
