Tables of Contents within a document

John Gee

I have a Word 2007 document. Three Sections at the end have their own TOC's.
The first Section's page numbers in it's TOC working fine when I update; the
next two sections when updated show the same page numbers of the 1st one
rather than thoses in their own. How do I correct this? All three Sections
are the same except for data in the tables. They were created by copy and
paste to the main document.

Thanks

In order to have different TOCs show different sets of contents, you must use a
\b switch in each TOC field's code, pointing to a different bookmark in the
document. In your case, you would need a bookmark for each section, and that
section's TOC code would point to the section's bookmark. You can't do that
strictly by copy/paste.

For instructions, look at the part "A partial table of contents" in
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TOCSwitches.htm.
