Table of Contents not getting updated.

Hi,

I am working on a word document that contains table of contents.
I have added few new sections to the document. I have applied the correct
formatting to the section headers.
However, table of contents is not getting updated with the new sections when
i do Update field operation.

Request some one to help me out.

When you say "applied the correct formatting" you do mean you applied the
required style, i.e. Heading 1, etc., and not just made it 14pt Bold or
whatever?
If the correct style has been applied and the TOC will not update, the TOC
itself maybe locked. To unlock, field codes (which a TOC is), select the TOC
and press Ctrl+Shft+F11.
