before i install a game or software i make a restore point,but when i want to
restore it it goes through everything restarts but when i log back inn
(admin)it always says unable to restore,i tried this about 5 times with no
luck,iam new to xp,used to have 98se with goback but xp wont stay stable when
i load goback,can any1 please help me taa..paul

Below is a link of System Restore and it is not supposed to role a computer
totally back to previous state but instead tracks important system files and
registry settings in case there are problems with operating system
functionality. It sounds like you would want an image type program such as
Ghost and create an image of the system drive before you make changes for
possible restoration if need be. Also look at the free Microsoft Share
Computer Toolkit where you can configure the computer to rollback changes
that are made at the next startup with various options that allow a lot of
