When I start my other computer I get the following message:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the
original Setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

I tried to run the cd, but it wouldn't work. Can anyone help?

One or more of the registry files for your computer has been damaged
or deleted.

Unfortunately Microsoft has chosen to make recovery from this fairly
common error a very cumbersome process. The following article in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base describes the recovery procedure. You must
follow the steps exactly:
