Windows could not start because the following file is missing/corr

When i try to start windows on my laptop it comes up with an error message
that looks exactly like this:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
System32\drivers\ntfs.sys

You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the
original setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.
