System turns off immediately when I press the power button!

Hi, be sure that "acpi" in your bios is still enabled. Otherwise Windows XP
cannot controle the Powerbutton.
 
Hello,

I recently reinstalled XP and since I've done so, my system shuts off
immediately when I press the power button. No shutdown down or anything, it
just powers off NOW!

I've gone into Control Panel, Power and I've noticed I don't see the setting
for "When I press the power button" like I've seen before.

Might that be my problem? If so how might I go about fixing it?
