System Tray Icon turns black

Does anyone know if Micrsosoft has a bug email address for AntiSpyware? I
looked around and cant find one. This beta should be as easy to report things
as with their betas.

I have the AntiSpyare Icon in the system tray disabled. I also have a scan
set to run every morning at 2am. When I return to the computer every morning
the AntiSpyware icon has appeared in the System tray. Not only is the icon
there, it has turned black. If I want to get rid of the icon again, I have to
go into the settings and uncheck the "hide the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on
the system tray" check box and then click save. Then I have to check the box
and click save again to make that option effective again. That takes care of
the problem untill the next scheduled scan runs in the morning. Then I repeat
the cycle. Im running version 1.0.701 with definitions 5783. I just wanted
people to know about this problem. I know this is a bug. I think this problem
may have appeared earlier in the Beta with people using RDP and who had the
AntiSpyware icon visable in the system tray.

"A few days ago we posted an update to the Windows AntiSpyware beta and
yesterday, we turned on the auto-updater code to automatically update existing
users to this updated beta. For the techies, this update is build 1.0.701.
Before you get too excited, there is only one change in this beta update from
the previous beta. This updates the expiration date to July 31,
006." -Sterling Reasor, a program manager for the current Windows AntiSpyware
beta and forth-coming Windows Defender.

If the computer is powered on all night, might you have turned on stand-by or
hibernate during the 2:00a.m. scantime?

I do some minimal web serving off of my machine, so I have it in a powered on
state all the time.

Sorry Viruskiller;
Logically, I can't get this any further figured out with the available info. I
think I'd next look at the errors log in the MSAS folder to see if you can spot
anything in there, and also maybe temporarily move the scan to the daytime to
see if you can debug it interactively. I imagine you could always hide that
icon in Customize Toolbar Properties (by turning on hide inactive icons), if the
scan is completing successfully and you're not seeing any other problems, at
least until Beta2 is available.

I think you've described two known bugs:

1) the Microsoft Antispyware icon turns blue when you use RDP (or any of the
three terminal-services based features) on the machine it is installed on.
Sometimes blue looks black.

2) When you have the Microsoft Antispyware icon set to not show, and a
scheduled scan runs, the icon thereafter show, until reboot of that machine.
