system tray icon

It looks like Windows Defender replaces MS Antispyware. With MS
Antispyware
I had a system tray icon before. I do not see any system tray icons with
Windows Defender, nor is it showing in the Startup group. Please advise as
to why and how it is running. Thank you

Hello Bill,

You'll get nearly as many differing opinions as you will responses.

You can have the icon for WD on the system tray, if you scrooll to the boton
of the page in Tools -> Options.

WD is running 99.99% fine in my PC

If you downloaded Windows Defender after April 12th, go to Tools, Options,
and scroll down to Real Time protection options. Look at checkboxes at the
very end of that Options area.

If you downloaded Windows Defender before April 12th, do a new download

and run the downloaded file. It will upgrade the UI code to the latest
version, including this setting.
