Hi,
My boss wants to know my system specs(such as processor
speed, memory and drive capacities) to determine if I need
to be upgraded for VB.NET. Where can I find this
information in my system? I don't have any of the
original paperwork.

Thanks,
John

you can download a great program called fresh diagnose at
cnet.com. that should tell you all you need to know from
motherboard type to processor speed.

You can always try to catch the screens as they fly by on
startup that list your processor and RAM information, or
you can right click on My Computer and choose Manage.
From there, follow this path to get a decent readout of
your system:

System Tools > System Information > System Summary

It doesn't tell the model of the CPU (ie Pentium III, 4,
etc) but it will tell you the speed and also list your RAM
amounts.

Administrative Tools; Computer Management;
System Information; System Summary for the processor & memory data

Storage; Disk Management for the drive capacity data.

Or the Belarc Adviser from http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

That'll give you all the info. you could possibly need and then some. ;-)

.....except it's supposed to be for personal use only and the OP seems to be
working for some outfit that maybe should obtain a licence.

Then there's the thing we don't know: Is the OP allowed to download & install
stuff on this m/c?

BTW Fresh Diagnose got a couple of bad reviews for causing crashes...
