System shutting down when connected to Internet

I have a computer that was shutting down when connected to the
internet (friends computer and I am working on it now.) I reinstalled
Windows XP pro after doing a format of the hard drive and then a
clean install.

I still am getting this message:

The system is shutting down. This shut down was initiated by NT
Authority System
c:\windows\system32\esass.exe terminated unexpectedly with status code
10737341819

Any help with the problem will be greatly appreciated

You have either the Blaster or the Sasser Worm.
Removal tools:
Sasser
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxSasser.exe.
Blaster
http://tinyurl.com/jqdf
When you get the message that your computer is going to shut down, go to
"Run" and type in "shutdown -a"
This will abort the shutdown. Then go to your network connections, right
click your connection (Local Area Connection or Dialup) pick Properties,
Advanced Tab, and check the box that starts with "Protect my computer..."
That will turn on your XP firewall.
Then download and install the Microsoft Security patch at
http://tinyurl.com/is2b
Then run the removal tool for Blaster. If it doesn't find anything, run
the one for Sasser.
Get your virus definitions up to date and run a full system scan. You
likely have more than just one of those.
