It could be hardware or software causing your problem.
You have not given enough about symptoms for us to help you.
When does the problem occur? Is it random? Right after start up? Does
windows tell you it's shutting down or does the screen go blank and
the systems restarts on it's own?
If the screen goes black and the system try's to restart on it's own,
it could be a hardware issue. Here are some things we would need to
know if it was a hardware issue:
Who makes the system? Is it Dell or HP or something like that?
Who made the Mother board?
What model is the Mother board?
What chipset does it use?
What model video card it has.
How much RAM (memory)?
What Win XP Service pack are you running?
Have you:
Have you checked for BIOS updates?
Have you updated the Video card drivers?
If it is a VIA Chipset, do you have the latest 4 in 1 drivers
installed?
It would help you to find out about these questions I have asked you.
You have a job to do. That job is to keep your system updated. You
should learn how to do that and how to keep your system clean and free
of Viruses, spyware and adware.
Computers still need your help. Maybe in the future....
