Have you tried starting in Safe Mode and then running restore?

Guess you could uninstall Norton then it shouldn't start up.

I am also stuck up with this I even uninstalled the Norton/Symantec
product but to no awail. Do we have any solution.

Hi All,

The best course of action, is to use a program like Acronis True Image
10 Home or Norton's Ghost to create a Drive Image of the Hard Drive to a
given point in time. Then use a Sync Type of Program to automatically copy
your My Documents Folders, Favorites, Address Book, and E-Mail Store Folder
onto another partition for regular backups.

This way, after restoring a Drive Image, you can copy back your files
onto your partition, copying all or selected files. Lots of Anti-Virus
programs prevent System Restore from working. or other programs, also.

When you restore a Drive Image, the Restore Points are not restore, so
you create new Points in time.
