System Restore....

I've been trying to restore my system to an earlier date,but it doesn't seem
to work.It gives me a lot of options as far as available dates,but after the
system restarts,it says that the restoration was imcomplete.Am i missing some
kind of tool that makes the system work??......

Select S and scroll to almost the bottom to
System Restore.
