system restore

I have recently upgraded my hard drive by transferring all files on a 30GB
drive to a 120GB HD. Both Western Digital. Now when I try to access System
Restore all I ever get is this message: System Restore Application has
encountered a problem and needs to close. I then went to System folder in
the control panel and tried to select System Restore. That gives me the
following message: "An Exception occurred while trying to run
"shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32\sysdm.cpl",System" So any
idea whats wrong? Thanks for the help.

When you upgrade to a larger hard drive (which is a good move), restore
points previously saved are no longer applicable. You should erase all your
restore points and create a new restore point.

To erase all restore points, turn system restore off for all drives, reboot,
and then turn system restore on again. Then create a new restore point.
