System Restore "shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL sysdm.cpl,,4"

Hi there,

When I try to do a system store, I get the following error:

"shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL sysdm.cpl,,4"

I run XP SP2

Any thoughts anyone?

Hi Buster,

Reinstalling System Restore will fix the problem. Unfortunately all restore points will be
lost in the process. But considering System Restore won't run, there's no alternative.

shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL sysdm.cpl,,4 is the System Restore tab of System
Properties.

I.e. Start | Run | Paste: control Sysdm.cpl,,4 | Click OK

It pays to search the Newsgroups!!!
I just installed a new harddrive. All copied over and was seeming to work
fine. That is until I went to create a restore point. Your suggestion worked
just fine, except I had to search for the files that sr.inf wanted to
install. But no problem.
