System Restore Question

I have never had this problem before. I have tried several times to do a
system restore and each time after reboot a red warning appears on the
system restore page saying a restore cannot be done and that no changes were
make to my system. I have unchecked "Turn Off System Restore on all drives"
in My Computer. I have tried to restore using a pre-fixed restore point and
tried creating my own. Nothing works. What am I doing wrong? What is the
fix? All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Fran

Check Bert Kinney's resource. It is arguably the best there is regarding
System Restore http://bertk.mvps.org/

hint: mouse over "System Restore in Windows XP" in upper left of the window
and select Reinstall System Restore.
