System Restore Problem

M

Mike Jenner

I've been trying to roll back my system to a previous checkpoint but it
never ever works.

I've tried using different checkpoints and again everythuing seems to be ok
untilthe re-boot when I get a message to say that the system restore could
not be done, but no reason is given.

System Restore is fully enabled on my partioned drive (for both partitions)
so I have no idea why I can't roll back.

Can any kind sole help please? Im running XP Home.

Thanks

Hi

One or more of the System Restore files could have been corrupted - try
turning SR off/on - but I'm afraid that you will lose any existing
checkpoints:

Right click My Computer, select Properties and then the System Restore tab.
Enable 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' and reboot your PC. After
that 1st reboot go back into SR and disable 'Turn off System Restore on all
drives' and reboot your PC again. After that 2nd reboot you should have one
new SR checkpoint.

System Restore can restore to recent time points.
I met a problem before.
I used GHOST to restore my system.
And after one week, when I wanted to restore to an earlier point, it was
failed.
So, I guess it is related to a tool like GHOST.
Go,Go,Go.
