I have tried restoring my system with several dates and get the following:

I presume you ARE choosing the restore dates that are in BOLD type? These
being the only ones that work...

Hi Michael,

The majority of the time this is caused by a corrupt restore point.
Turning System Restore off then on again will purges all existing
restore points, and creates one new one.

There are also other possibilities to the cause which are covered on the
following page.
