a few days ago i downloaded a film off shareaza and when i tried to view it
in media player 10 it was upside down so i went onto there FAQ page to see if
this was a common fault and it stated i might need new codecs and i could try
a partial install and if that failed try a full install of
Tsunami_Filter_Pack_3_9_9 so i thought go straight for full install so i
downloaded it and installed it ( even though the name was a bit off putting )
as i was installing it windows told me not to as it would alter files but i
thought i needed it and shareaza has been around for a while and so it should
be ok and if not i could do a system restore to get back safely.

but it did not help with the film and now every viewer i have shows films
upside down and computer was acting sluggish so i removed shareaza and codec
pack and attempted to do a system restore but it will not allow me to go back
1 month i also tried in safe mode with same result as i do not have any
restore points in this month.

i would be extremely gratefull if someone could help me out of this
predicament

You have now learned the hard way why file sharing can be dangerous unless
you know the details of what you are installing including the source.
"shareaza has been around for a while"
Not relevant, what do you know about the exact source of the film and other
software you downloaded?
Are you certain they were not deliberately contaminated by the "generous
person" providing the files?

Check your video card settings.
Many video cards have settings that allow you to rotate the screen.

Also follow the yellow section on this link to check for viruses and
spyware:

Why do you need to go back a month? The simple answer is that the points
aren't there. Depending on the size of your primary partition (and the
amount of space you have allocated to system restore), the points may have
been deleted to make room for new ones. My primary partition is 150GB
(decimal), so I have SR set to the maximum 12% (18 decimal GBs). Each point
takes around 200MB so this means that there is room on my drive for around
90 points before the older ones start to be deleted. If SR makes a point a
day (and I don't install any software, or make any manual points) this means
there is roughly enough space for three months' worth of points (which
means, theoretically, I could restore back to the beginning of October). If
your drive is significantly smaller (e.g. 12% of a 40GB drive is roughly
4.8GB or enough for 24 points at one a day - or under a month).

If the points aren't there, they aren't there. You cannot bring them back.
