System Restore Not Working Right

When I run system restore It shuts down & I see a progress bar starts slowly
& half way goes quick & rebooted & then says in red cannot restore! I tried
since sept 1 & cannot get it to restore. Is this a Micorsoft bug? I do have
Norton System works 2003 also I don't have go back installed as I hear its
bad. Also Nero 6 I have can these cause not to restore? or is there a fix? I
need to go back as I changed cable modem form a Motorola Surfboard to a RCA
modem & the Modem dont respond to the computer unless i put bacl the
Motorola. Does Surfboard modem marry the NIC cards? I uninstalled &
reinstalled the NIC same thing & also I put in a new netowrk card it works
now bit that other NIC only seem to work with the Motorola modem. Anyone had
this problem or any suggestions? I used the ipconfig /renew & /release &
dont work. I was told to restote back when I had theis RCS modem on but wont
restore.

It's probably to do with the Disk Space Usage. Reduce the amount to
something around 250Mb or less. Apparently it works better with a smaller
file size. If yours is already close to 250Mb, then reduce further. Half
maybe. Then, setup a new restore point manually and try again. Also, the
more restore points setup, the less likely it will work.

it was set to 12% all the way to the right i put to 7 % & see what happens.
