System Restore has no checkpoints

I went to restore my computer to an earlier date and I had no available dates
to choose from. My disk space usage is set to the maximum amount. Is there
any other way to restore my computer to an earlier date? Thanks in advance

It is important to know why you want to restore your computer to an
earlier date. Also, keep in mind that System Restore can only restore
the state of your operating *system* to an earlier date, which is not
the same thing.

Unless you imaged or cloned your drive at the time that you want to
return your PC to, then the answer is no. And System Restore can only go
back as far as the oldest restore point. If you ever do use System
Restore in the future, keep in mind that the further back in time you
go, the chance or potential problems increases. That's because when you
install a program, usually many changes are made to the registry.
However, those new values are gone once you revert to an ealier state
(e.g., the state before the program in question was installed) of the
registry.

So, once again, what is your actual problem? I'm sure someone here will
be able to help you solve it. And you should really start imaging of
cloning your hard drive!

If you have no Restore Points then you have not Restore Points. It doesn't
sound like you have any third party software installed that make regular
backups so they answer to your question is No.

While this will not help you revert back to an earlier time you should look
at Bert Kinney's resource on System Restore to see if you can determine why
yours isn't working and see if you can fix it http://bertk.mvps.org/

You may wish to invest in a decent third party backup program. Do a google
search and I'm certain Acronis TrueImage will show up.

You don't say why you want to restore it!
Disable Norton, if using it, to do a SR
Info does help here!
You can also try to do a System Restore as you are going into Safe Mode.
You get a choice: proceed to SM, or do a SR

Check for spyware:

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6 is a very good, FREE Anti-Spyware Program.
Download, install, update, and immunize your System with it.
Then SCAN with it.
Update it, and scan your System once a fortnight.

Download, install, and update.

Important re: Safe Mode
If you happen to find a problem that you can’t uninstall / delete, reboot
the computer, and go into Safe Mode.
To get into Safe mode, tap F8 right at Power On / Startup, and use UP arrow
key to get to Safe Mode from list of options, then hit ENTER.
RESCAN your computer with your Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes and Spybot S & D
while in Safe Mode.

If unable to install above Programs in Normal Mode:
Sometimes Trojans, Viruses, Malware, etc stop you installing and/or updating
Programs to remove them.
If that happens, reboot into Safe Mode with Networking, and install, update
and scan from there.
