System Restore Errors HELP!!!

I tried everything system restore is running but when i click the system
restore tab on properties men i get error run dll as an app and shell 32.dll
control_rundll c:\windows\system32\sysdm.cpl, system

I cant save restore points and cant restore and im virus and trojan free how
can i fix this i search and someone gave a website which i followed and was
no help at all..please im about to lose my mind

Have you done a virus scan? Also, if you have not already done so download
lavasoft's Adaware and remove any spyware that might be on your machine.

i did viruscan adaware removal and have same problem as post earlier from
someone replied to from map about some website that did not help me when i
click tab for system restore i get the same damn error this is the error

Attempting to access System Restore (Accessories > System Tools > System

Restore) generates the following message:

An exception occurred while trying to run "Shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL
sysdm.cpl,,4"

i cant set restore points nor can i restore system if theres a problem ive
ran 4 different viruscans and ran 2 adawares and nothing Help

I did not go to this site to see if there was information on your problem.
