System restore doesn't work!

When I try and do a system restore my computer re-starts
and then I get the following
message....System restore could not restore. No changes
have been made to the system...

I have tried different restore check points up to the
most recent checkpoint, but to no avail.

My hard drive is partioned into two drives C (5.85Gb) and
D (31.3GB). Windows XP is installed on C in NTFS format,
D drive is in FAT 32 format.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

.
Your system restore checkpoints are corrupted.
To get S/R working again you need to shut it off then
reboot and turn it back on.This will delete all of your
S/R checkpoints but also the corruption, reboot a second
time this is to see if S/R can create an auto checkpoint.
S/R should be back up and running again.
