System lock up

Does anyone know of a fix for this? Whilst I'm connectred to the internet via
Broadband, my system (Phillips Freevents LS1400 running XP), seems to
lock-up, then, after 5 mins: reboots. I can move the mouse pointer around the
screen during lock-up but clicking fails to bring a response. Doesn't happen
ALL the time but is frustrating. This NEVER happens whilst disconnected from
the internet.

Hi

Please have a look in the Event Viewer for any 'Errors'. If any are found
could you please post the Source and Event ID. With those your problem
could be
isolated.

Hi

From Start>Run type

eventvwr.msc

Then click on each of the icons in the left hand pane to look for any
errors.

Hi Will,
Under the Application Icon - Application errors & application hang are
listed along with "Warning", userenv.
Under the System Icon, lots of errors listed for "disk", "atpi" "cdrom" and
"warming" disk

Hi

Not too sure what a "warming" disk is, but the other errors would suggest
you have a problem with your CD drive. Have you seen any problems with it?

Will,
last reply, I meant have added, "warming" should have read "warning - disk".
