i recently upgraded my pc to following confi:
amd athlon 64 3000+
asus k8s-mx series mob
seagate 80 gb hdd
512 mb ram
then i installed windows xp service pack 2 on my comp and the system fails
often out of nowhere and i don't know what to do. first i thyought that due
to overheating the pc may be turned out but then the system rebooted when it
was turned on only 2-3 min. when it didn't have time to overheat and also i
was not running any applications. then i turned off the automatically restart
option through control panel but that didnt help either next time the system
failed and gave me a blue screen and said windows had to be shut down to
avoid damage to your system and under tecnical details it gave the following:
*** STOP : 0x40000080(0x84C3B130,0X84A61E68,0X80548D8C,0X00000001)
BEGINNING DUMP OF PHYSICAL MEMORY
PHYSICAL MEMORY DUMP COMPLETE

Nothing whatsoever to do with SP2 I can assure you of that - that's a
hardware failure (the '4' mystifies me, though, usually it's 0x00000080,
usually shortened to 0x80). You will need to remove hardware until you find
the device causing the problem - what was the exact stop error
STOP_ERRORS_LOOK_LIKE_THIS.

Since you didn't post any of the original message, no one knows what issue
you're talking about, and if the original message is somewhat old, the
original poster may not be watching the message any more, either.

Your best bet may be to start a new thread and ask whatever question you
want to ask.

Or, you could just upgrade your power supply, if you think that's the
problem.
