Dear All,

A few days ago we had a power cut at work and
from that day every time we start the PC an error message
pops up "saying the system has recovered from a serious error.."
so i try to find ways to stop that error report
if i send the error report it opens a web page saying "error report
corrupted"
i did a system restore to a few days before the power cut but still no joy.

Please is there a way to stop that specific error report
without disabling windows error reporting?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Carlos.

Some specs on your work pc would help, but off the cuff, I'd say because
there was an improper shutdown(power outage) you might want to run a system
file check from the run command
type in

sfc /scannow
note the space between sfc /
The sfc can take a while to run and you may be asked for the xp disk. If
you get a bunch errors when trying to do the sfc, post back.
You can also run this, chkdsk /f /r , from the run command...this can take
up to an hour and the computer should not be disturbed while it's performing
this task

I would check the event viewer to see if there are any flags there.
I guess I'm assuming that other than the error message you are able to use
the computer.
