System freezes when second window pops up

I've been having a problem with explorer freezing up when
a second window pops. I have to go into the task window
and close both windows. I can then open up a window and
start surfing again. How can I fix this problem so I can
continue surfing when another window pops up, without the
system freezing.

I have had the same problem since July. I have downloaded current graphics
drivers. I have installed Spybot and cleaned the registry of parasites. I
have uninstalled IE and reinstalled couple of times. I have downloaded
Netscape but it does the same thing. What really confounds me is it seems
to come and go just like there weren't enough servers up on Comcast to
handle the traffic. If you stop and then refresh you can move again. I
have read about this problem being reported by about 100 people but no one
seems to answer any of the emails except the vendors lurking to try to sell
you their parasite software. It is making surfing a drag. and painful. I
am seriously thinking of canceling the cable hook up and going to the
library to surf. It makes you realize that maybe we are paying just a
little too much
to be connected.
