System event error; thanks for any direction

Hello,

Sorry to be any bother, but can anyone tell how to correct this System Log
event.

Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 7/5/2004
Time: 11:34:34 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DC
Description:
The IP address lease 192.168.1.100 for the Network Card with network address
00301BABC202 has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP Server
sent a DHCPNACK message).

Hi,

Event id 1002 with error message "The IP address lease <ip address> for the
Network Card with network address <MAC address> has been denied by the DHCP
server <server ip address> (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message). "
occurs if there is any computer is wrongly configured.
This problem can be resolved by manually configuring the ip address in most
of the cases.
Or if the DNS setting had them specified rather than using DCHP to discover
the settings it might give this error. Reconfiguring these settings
resolved all the problems.
