Hi fellows,

Would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction to correct this
problem. Thank you in advance, and Happy Holidays.

Here is the Event viewer log entry.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Dhcp
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 12/13/2004
Time: 7:56:34 AM
User: N/A
Computer: PC
Description:
The IP address lease 192.168.1.100 for the Network Card with network address
00301BABC202 has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP Server sent a
DHCPNACK message).

thanks,
don

Is the server only getting this, or is being given an alternate IP address?
When a DHCP client starts up it will request the last address it had, which
normally the DHCP will grant if it is available, rather than give out a
different one. It could be in this case that the denied error is being
caused by another machine on the network having that address already.

Does the DHCP server itself have any errors messages recorded at this time?
