system does not reconize camera

after i installed windows xp,i can not get my kodak
digital camera to transfer pictures. every time i get a
message saying no camera attached.It worked fine before
upgrading to xp.I have uninstalled the kodak program and
re installed ,,no luck. i looked in device manager and
there is no listing for camera.please help.Microsoft help
said i need to go back to twain driver, but i dont know
what to look for in device manager to change it...

You need drivers designed for XP from Kodak. Go to the camera's website
for support and drivers. If you can't find drivers for your camera, a
good workaround is to buy a usb card reader instead. Just be sure to
get one that is right for your camera's memory card. The card readers
aren't expensive (mine was around $30), they don't need any
installation routine in XP, and they act like a removable drive.
