Scanners and Cameras

When I attach my new Kodak camera to the USB connection on the computer, I see
a new category "Scanners and Cameras" appear just beneath (But not part of)the
heading "Devices and Removable Storage". It shows a camera Icon and the words
"Z650 Zoom Digital Camera". I can see all the files in the camera, and copy
some or all to the PC.

My first question is: How can I assign a Drive Letter to this folder? I was
able to do this with my previous Fuji camera.

Second question: After installing the Kodak Easyshare software, I no longer
see the camera Icon, and can only access the pictures in the camera using
their software. Is there something in the registry I can tweak to get the Icon
back?

I already contacted Kodak about this, but these questions remain.

Second Question: When you use the easyshare software, it disables the
scanners and cameras function. If you want it back, you need to uninstall
easyshare. That's what I did.

Can all that stuff and use a card reader.
