Hello all,

I have an extremely annoying and troublesome problem that
I have not been able to fix for some time now. I have
two cd rom drives installed on my Dell 450MHz desktop,
and when I open up My Computer and try to right click on
either one of them (whether there is a cd in it or not)
it gives me an Explorer Error and the My Computer window
shuts down!! I can right-click on other things in the My
Computer window with no problem (such as the floppy
drive, hard disks, etc.) but as soon as I right-click on
one of the cd drives to explore the cd or do other things
it gives me this error.

Can ANYBODY suggest ANYTHING to fix this??!! I really
need help and don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance to ANYONE who replies to this post.

Check device manager and see if there is any conflict there.
Also, both drives are from Dell? or the one you have problem is installed
later by yourself?

I understand Dell will install certain system files into the system for
future recovery, and it may not recognize your drive and cause certain
conflict.
