Can't explore CD ROM

HI everyone,
I am using a laptop with NEC DVD+-RW ND-6650A drive, it won't open any CD or
DVD, even though you do a right click--> explore, it only open a new windows
with desktop contents. I got the Drive replaced, but still doing the same
thing. The funny thing is when I share the drive and use another computer to
view my CD ROM content, it works. It can also burn CD/DVD fine.

What's wrong with my CD/DVD ROM?

Thanks

What do you mean by "open" any CD or DVD? Do you mean "play" or "display the
contents"? Open My Computer, right click on your problematic drive, click
Properties, click the AutoPlay tab, click the little triangle on the right,
choose the media, choose the action you want the drive to perform, then click
Apply and OK. Hope this helps.

HI Groucho,

Basic, it won't show any content of any CD/DVD. I did a repair on my WinXP
Pro system and it fixed the problem.

Cheers
