I know this seems ridiculous, but how do I back up my system? My hard drive
has crashed twice now, and I would like to back everything up on CD. What is
the easiest and best way to do this?

I appreciate any help you might be able to give me!

Thanks,
Dee

It depends on what you want backed up. If you want your ENTIRE system,
including installed programs, you'll need an imaging program like
Symantec/Norton Ghost.

If you just want to back up your settings and documents, there is a utility
in Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools Called Files and Settings
Transfer Wizard This could be run to save your settings and files.

Hope this helps

It says old computer / new computer...just replace old computer with backup
and new computer with restore. Same function, different terminology.

When it asks you where to store the files and settings, just point to an
empty folder and then burn that folder to a disk.
