I am working on a HP Pavilion with Windows XP SP1. After the system boots up
the System 32 window opens. Does anyone know why this would happen? Thanks
in advance for your help.

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by
an incomplete program removal, in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys. It can also
be caused by an entry in these same keys that starts with a " / ."

Hi Wes,
I went to the site "kellys-korner" and downloaded the file as instructed.
opened the file as instructed and got the message "the script cannot repair
your issue. The expected Registry value was not found." Do you have any other
suggestions in this matter.
Thanks...sam
