I'm running a sysprep task on a dell optiplex gxa (266MHz)
It used to take about 5 minutes to reseal - now it takes hours.
As it's working the cpu varies beteween 70 and 100% usage, the disk activity
light turns on and off (not solid).
There is no network activity.
I'm using the sysprep from sp2 (and the image is an sp2 image)
I've always used essentially the same sysprep.inf (just updates to the oem
string) . I have BuildMassStorageSection=yes and it's always been that way.
I know it could be a little faster with a manually configured mass storage
section but I don't think that's the problem here.
The virus scanner is disabled.
I'm stumped!
