Sync Audio point with custom animation settings?

Is there anyway to sync audio, ie music to the custom animation
settings.
I want to have an object (Picture) fade in with at a specifc time
within a song?

I cannot figure out if there is any timeline settings that will enable
me to work with audio and set an object to fade in/out etc..

I have instaled the Producer add-in but that sems to only set up a
movie within PP.

Again all I want to do is start a song on a slide and have objects
(pictures) fade in/out with timing of music. ie "L" fade in, "O" fade
in, 'V' fade in, "E" fade in.

Any help would be great.

Sound sync is always going to be a problem in powerpoint. Its not really
designed for it. The only way is "tweak n try" but even then it will be
different on other computers.
