I am using XP SP2 and latest security updates. After creating a backup image
of my main drive, about 12GB on an 80 GB HDD, the imaging program continues
to run and the CPU shows 100% usage. Stopping the service,PQV 2i SVC.exe,
has no effect as it immediately restarts. The only way I have found to close
the program after it has finished making the backup image is to restart the
computer.

I have been through all the steps with Symantec support up to the stage of a
complete uninstall and clean reinstall of Ghost 9. The problem however
remains. Has anyone else come across this problem or can suggest how to fix
it?

Richard.

I purchased NSW 2005 Premium which includes Ghost 9. However when i try
to launch Ghost the err msg "the page cannot be displayed" appears.

(1) Symantec's knowledge base is no help
(2) this is a very basic function so it's hard to believe that i'm the
first user to encounter.
(3) isn't this msg typically used with internet access ? If so, why
does it occur during launch of Ghost (regardless of online status).

SP2 is installed - all critical updates applied.

Thanx.

I have a similar problem. I have an earlier version of Norton System
Works installed and I purchased Ghost 9. It appeared to install Ghost
into the System Works integrator, but I get the same message as you
when I click on Ghost in the integrator. The solution is to crate a
separate shortcut for Ghost. Look for the Console subfolder of the
Ghost folder and create a shortcut for the single exe in that folder.
That will enable you to start Ghost.
