Last night I read one of the postings on this newsgroup from an individual
asking for suggestions in moving to a new PC. Suggestions were given to use
Ghost or Acronis True Image. Also suggested was the image program
ShadowProtect Desktop Edition 3.1. I did a quick Google for reviews of this
program and then went to its home web site. Initial information appears to
be very positive. In one of the reviews, it mentioned that the
ShadowProtect technology was licensed to Symantec for Ghost. I have not
used Ghost but do use Symantec Livestate Recovery Desktop backup and it has
been very dependable and easy to use. I planned to purchase a new Dell
computer/Vista next month and so am looking for a good image program other
than one from Symantec.
Any comments, positive or negative, would be very much appreciated, Sam.
