Sycronizing Sent Items between what was sent using OWA and PST fil

S

Suhail Sallam

Dears,
We use Exchange 2007 and Outlook Web access through the internet so one user
can at his home send and receive emails.
Those who use OST files when they send an email they can find the sent email
in the OWA - Sent Items folder and Outlook - Sent items folder .

Those who use PST files when they send an email they can find the sent email
in the OWA - Sent Items folder BUT not in the Sent Items folder of the PST,
instead they find it in the sent Items folder for the Mailbox-<user>.

is there a way to move these sent email automatically to the sent Items of
the PST where the PST is the default data file.

Are you using Outlook 2007 too? Are they using Outlook to send the messages
or OWA? If the pst is the default and its sent from outlook, at least with
older versions of outlook, it was placed in the pst.

Messages sent from outlook will go to the PST but messages sent via other
clients (including OWA) are not moved to the PST automatically.

Suhail Sallam

Dear.
I am confused now, let me rephrase my question.

In my office I use outlook connected to exchange server through a LAN,
where I send and receive emails normally.
I use Personal Folders so I find all received emails in Inbox and all sent
emails in Sent Items of the personal folder.

At week end I close my outlook before I go home in order to keep all my
received emails in the mail box of the server, I use Outlook Web Access (OWA)
connected to the exchange server through the internet where I send and
receive email normally and I find all the received emails in the Inbox and
all the sent emails in the Sent Items of the Mail box of the server (for
emails received and sent at the week end).

When I return back to my office at the beginning of the week and open my
outlook all the received emails at the week end will be pulled from the mail
box of the server to my Inbox of the personal folder BUT the sent Items
remains in the Sent Items folder of the mail box of the server and not pulled
to the Sent Items folder of the personal folder which we except that this is
a problem because in the send receive groups we select the sent Items folder
as we select the Inbox folder to be included in send/receive and to be pulled
to relevant folders.

this is exactly the problem I face and my colleagues as well, and I would
appreciate if you can help us in solving this problem if there is any
solution by changing some settings or by hot fix., i.e. how can the sent
emails using OWA and resides in the Sent Items of the mail box of the server
be pulled to the sent Items folder of my personal folder?

Thanks.
