Switching users

When I start up my PC and I have to choose which user I
want to log on under, it takes forever to get to the
desktop screen. It
sits at "loading personal settings" for awhile before
entering the
desktop screen. I haven't added anything to my PC and
this has just
started a couple of days ago. It also talkes awhile to
switch "users".
Please help...

See if restoring from a System Restore Point created just before the problem
started fixes it. (Start button/All Programs/Accessories/System
Tools/System Restore then click the option: Restore my computer to an
earlier time, then click the Next button. The bold dates on the calendar
are the ones with System Restore Points. Select the bold date just prior to
the problem, and then in the right pane select the Restore Point for that
date to highlight it, then click the Next button, and finish the System
Restore Wizard.
