switching from xp to 2000pro

when i boot from the 2000pro cd it tells me 'setup cannot
find a previous version of windows installed on your
computer. to continue, setup needs to verify that you
qualify to use this upgrade product.' my xp reinstall
(supplied by dell) doesn't help. any help is greatly
appreciated.

You'll need to dig up your old win9x or Windows NT install disks or CD-Rom
to qualify the upgrade.
