switching from dial up to dsl

I have just switched from dial-up to dsl. I have 2 email accounts I'll be
using with Windows Mail: one my dsl provider (Verizon) and one from my web
hosting company (GoDaddy). Prior to Verizon I used AT&T and could send and
receive messages from my AT&T and GoDaddy accounts. Since switching to dsl I
can send/receive from my Verizon acct but not GoDaddy. I get a pop up
referring to the dial-up connection telling me to select the service I want
to connect to...a drop down menu appears but there are no options to select.
Apparently this account is trying to connect via dial-up, which I no longer
have/use. I need to connect via dsl but can't for this email address. I have
contacted Verizon and GoDaddy and neither one could help. Here's what I've
tried:

- set my Verizon acct as the default acct
- checked and re-checked to make sure settings were correct for using
GoDaddy mail with Windows mail

Can anyone help, please?

I'm back...sorry, I just found a thread addressing the same problem. I fixed
it by turning off the email scanning software, deleting the account from WM
and then adding it again. But I have another question...is turning off the
email scanner putting me at risk for obtaining viruses?
