I have recently installed Access 2003, and I am
trying to use the switchboard manager.

I started playing around with it, but I have noticed that
it will not show up in the list of form objects. Why
doesnt it show up there? I also dont seem to be able
to get it to show up in the list of startup items.

It should be showing. Maybe you accidentally hid it.

Click on Tools>Options>View tab and check Hidden objects. If it shows up,
right click it and select properties, Uncheck the hidden attribute.

I noticed that if the [Sitchboard] Form is deleted (by accident or
otherwise) and the Table [Switchboard Items] exists, the Switchboard Manager
will happily let you modify the items but it won't realise that the
[Switchboard] Form is missing ...

To re-create the Switchboard Form, you need to delete the [Swirchboard
Items] Table or re-name it (so that the Switchboard Mannager doesn't find
it) then activate the Switchboard Manager which will create the new Form and
new Table. If you want to retain the menu items previously created, delete
the new [Switchboard Items] Table and re-name the old Table to the correct
name ...
