Switch off PC option gone

M

Mark

Running XP home with fast user switching. On the welcome screen I only have
the family log on names and the switch off computer option is gone. To
switch off I now have to log on and then switch off.

How can I reinstate the switch off PC option for the welcome screen?

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,

Disable the "ShutdownWithoutLogon" Policy.

Correction:

Infact, it *is* only a per-system Policy.

Did the "ShutdownWithoutLogon" exist? If so, try deleting the value rather than setting its data to 0.
