suspend to ram prob

Some times when I suspend to ram, standby I cannot come out and have to
reboot. Other times it works. I have tried reinstalling nvidia video driver
latest bios and chipset drivers. I swaped this mobo from an agp same chipset
nv3 -nv4.
Any ideas the other suspend leaves all the fans on so I dont want to use it
