:cry:I have been having a little problem well two little problems first the PC freezes if left running on its own after about 45 Minute's in the splash screen and will not respond to ether keyboard or mouse, I have Booted into safe mode to try to find a reason and could not find one BUT found that SuperFetch is not running which the when I ran the repair it did not repair. If some one could assist with simple instructions that an idiot could understand I would be very grateful:cheers:

Click Start orb
Type " services.msc " in the search field and hit enter.
If UAC pops up accept yes
When services window opens scroll to SuperFetch and make sure it is set to automatic.
If not set to automatic, double click and SuperFetch properties window will open.
In the General tab select Startup type and select Automatic.

Fingers crossed this works.

As stated, problem is resolved.

Hi,

To address the issue, please check the SuperFetch cache and service.

1. Click Start -> type services in the search box, press Enter
2. Find Superfetch in the list, double click it.
3. If the service is running, click Stop button. Verify Startup type is Automatic.
4. Navigate to %SystemRoot%\Prefetch folder and deleting anything in this folder.
5. Back to Superfech service, Click Start button to start the service.
